Stained Glass
People are like stained glass: composed of many small pieces of various hues that come together to create something beautiful. Life is a combination of darkness and Light and of various depths. A beautiful stained glass window may bring joy on a cloudy day. It may go unnoticed in the twilight. But when the days become bright and Light shines through the glass? A masterpiece.
So it matters not to me that I have pieces of me with sharp edges from times I was broken. It matters not to me that I was unnoticed in darkness. What matters to me is that someone is inspired by the careful consideration of the pieces of me. I was shattered by life, but I believed Light would shine through me and turn shards into beauty.
I write to impart pieces of me so you may place them as you will. Or I write to persuade you to keep faith in the dawn. If it never comes, perhaps you can borrow my Light for a moment.
