Cooling Blanket Review

Coincidentally on Sunday night, JD stole this from my bed and hid it in his "nest" of blankets on his bed. We became suspicious when he was covering one area of his bed, then looking around to see if anyone was watching. If the coast was clear, he'd shove his face in the pile.

It was in the pile.

I'm very hot natured and sensitive to heat, and sometimes the bed sheet feels too hot to cover up with; but I still want something to cover up with. I saw some cooling blankets advertised online with good reviews, so I decided to try one. It's been a game changer!

I expected a silky material, but I was caught off guard by it feeling cool to the touch straight out of the box! It felt like I was touching fabric that had been in a refrigerator!

I immediately washed it (it has to hang to dry and can't be put in the dryer) and looked forward to trying it out. It dried overnight and was ready the next day.

The blanket stays silky and cool all through the night; if it's near a fan, it seems to absorb all the coolness of the air around it. Even when I would cover myself with the blanket and a bedsheet, it remained slightly cool and allowed for more airflow than other blankets I've had.

My sleep is often interrupted by overheating, adjusting the covers and fan, then trying again, and repeating the process until I wake up for the day. With the cooling blanket, I didn't wake up hot and didn't need to readjust my covers at all! Though I sometimes sweat a lot at night, I didn't sweat much at all!

I ended up buying a second one for my bed and a small throw blanket sized one as well. Several of my family members have similar issues with heat and night sweats, so they all have gotten/will get one of their own. It's been very helpful for them as well - my aunt even woke up cold when she typically wakes up sweating from the heat! For most of August and July, we've been under an excessive heat warning, so anything to help combat the heat is excessively welcome!

Just watch out for blanket and pillow obsessed puppies.

It's impossible to stay mad at him; he's too cute
